The Asylum Seeker Service for Employment and Training (ASSET) has clients looking for work in a wide range of occupations from non-skilled to professional roles. Our clients are available for small one-off jobs to casual and permanent positions.

Here are just a few:
- Employing our clients saves you time and resources – Advertising positions, resume vetting and interviewing are often arduous tasks that can take you away from your core business. At the ASRC Employment Assistance Program we build face-to-face relationships with our clients. In this way we can offer you the most appropriate person for the job. We will not present an applicant unless we believe we have the right person for you. We also train our clients in the everyday standards and requirements of the Australian workplace so that their transition into your workplace will be as smooth as possible.
- Our clients are resourceful and hard working - Most of our clients have had to overcome extreme adversity in their lives and tend to bring this resilient spirit to their work – a great benefit for their employers.
- Our clients value employment – Generally, our clients have no way of receiving an income other than through employment (i.e. they have no access to Centrelink payments). This means our clients really value the opportunity to work in a fair and equitable workplace.
- Employers and Asylum Seekers receive ongoing support and assistance from our staff - Matching the right client with your business is only half the job we do. We also endeavor to make sure things run smoothly once our clients have commenced their employment. Employers are encouraged to contact us for assistance if any issues arise. Further to this, we also keep in contact with our clients once they are employed to assist them in maintaining their employment.
