Promote our work
One of the best ways to help us with our work is to promote our events and fundraising activities, and to help inform the public about the issues facing asylum seekers.
Some of the ways that you can help are listed below, but we are always happy to hear from people with bright ideas for getting the message out. You can contact our Fundraising Coordinator at fundraising@asrc.org.au with any queries or ideas.
- Help us to spread correct information by familiarising yourself with the facts and arming yourself with flyers:
- Run an information stall at your local community event - school or church fete, local market, shops, etc. We can supply you with flyers and fact sheets, if you let us know when and where.
- Let us know of any willing local church, school, library or social groups. Send us their email or postal details and we can add them to our mailout databases.
- Ask your local church, school, council, etc. if they would be willing to include one of our flyers, newsletters or an event listing in their next newsletter or mailout. We can provide as many items as required, and press ready artwork if needed for an ad or listing.
- If you are able to do some event promotion or hold a fundraising event we would love to hear from you. Events are a wonderful way to promote the work of the ASRC, and raise revenue at the same time.
- Contact us to book your participation in an upcoming event, e.g. ordering buns in the hot cross bun drive, Christmas appeal letterbox drops, global gourmet fair donations, marketing or promotion.
